SMIAS, Kolavada, Gandhinagar was visited by Dr. Mukul Patel, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurved University on 24/05/2022. The institute's College and Hospital was visited by him along with Vd. Sweety Ruparel, Principal SMIAS and Vd. Rakesh Bhatt, I/C Medical Superintendent SMIAS Hospital.

Various activities like arrangement of hospital camps in different areas and arrangement of lectures in various colleges & schools in various areas of Gandhinagar and various other activities are arranged to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav India @ 75 in SMIAS College & Hospital.

Presently, there are fourteen departments in the college covering all the subjects of Ayurveda.

14 departments with well established outdoor and indoor patient unit with well equipped Operation Theater and Procedure Rooms.

The State Model Ayurveda College, SMIAS Campus, Gandhinagar is a newly established institute run by the Directorate, Indian System of medicine and homoeopathy, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat.
